Each year, the Georgia Chapter of Fulbright selects a country to host the annual Fulbright Dinner. In 2009, Turkey was selected as the host country and the Honorable Mona Tekin Diamond accepted this exciting and rewarding nomination as the Turkish Honorary Consul General and the Chairman of the American Turkish Friendship Council. |

The Turkish Lecture Series at Emory University is now an endowed Lecture Series, which will allow its continued existence. We were so pleased to have had Ambassador and Mrs. Nabi Sensoy as well as the NY Consul General Mehmet Sensoy and Deputy Consul Basar Sen with us to share this very special occasion. The honorable attendees included: Ambassador Nabi Sensoy, Gulgun Sensoy, Consul General Mehmet Samsar, Deputy Consul Basar Sen, Muhtar Kent, Defne Kent, Zaza and Tika Pachulia, Dr. Holli Semetko, Dean Robert Paul and The ATFC Board Members. |

On November 12, 2007, Honorary Consul General of Turkey to Georgia Mona Diamond and the American Turkish Friendship Council (ATFC), in conjunction with the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce (MACOC), the MWW Group, and the Georgia Department of Economic Development, hosted a luncheon titled “How to do business in Turkey” , featuring the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO) and its president Murat Yalcintas. The event took place at the MACOC’s offices located in downtown Atlanta and drew a crowd of businessmen from a wide variety of sectors. |
