We would like to thank our friends for generously supporting the American Turkish Friendship Council and our endeavors to provide funds for education to children, especially the young girls in the under-served areas of Turkey. During the Tea Party graciously hosted by our own ATFC board member Arzu Ozyazgan on May 23, 2010 we collected $2,015 with matching gifts. The total amount collected is $15,000. For those who were not able to attend, we are planning to have similar events in September and November. Our goal with the upcoming events is to raise funds in order to fulfill our budget for 2010 CATOM Projects, which is $38,000. In addition, it will give us an opportunity to welcome new friends to our network and have them learn of the outstanding humanitarian work being done by the ATFC. Your help in expanding our network of participants to your own friends will be very much appreciated. This will allow our project to gain more strength and sustainability over time. Also, if you would like to host an event so that we can present this project to your guests please let us know. We will be there -with great pleasure- to help you with the organization. We would like to once again thank Arzu for hosting the event and Bennur Yegenoglu for providing the raffle gifts. We look forward to getting together with you at our upcoming events. |
